Your Morning Rock

All the relevant parties know at my office now, so here comes the big personal news from me.

Today, I put in my notice at my current job and on November 14th I will be starting a new position with a very large trade association headquartered here in DC. This place is the biggest in the particular industry that I’ve spent most of the past six years working in and one of the biggest of any kind.

I’m joining the membership department as the Manager of Marketing and Resources and I’ve got a pretty tough task in helping to create new materials (and potentially a whole new marketing plan) that will help to bring back in members in an industry that has really been wrecked by the economy.

So, that’s my big news. I’ve been waiting for this to get finalized for a couple of weeks and it felt really good to get the offer yesterday.
